Disorder types:OverweightOverweight is an abnormal state characterized by excesive accumulation of fat in the organism. The concept of someone being overweight tends to change according to raza, gender, age, time in history and place. In general terms it is more frequent in women after 35 years of age.Although it can occurs in any age. Either overweight and obesity are calculated in adults by Body mass index ( BMI) that is defined as the individual's body weight divided by the square of the height, and is almost always expressed in the unit kg / m2. Normal weight is between 18.5 and 24, overweight between 25 and 29 and obesity appears when the BMI is higher than 30. When it exceeds 40, it is already morbid obesity. In children and adolescents (younger than 18 years old), percentiles of weight and height are used. Obesity:Obesity is a chronic multifactorial and complex disease, that develops by the interaction of the genotype and the environment. The knowledge about why and how is this disease being produced is still uncomplete,but it is clear that the problem is rooted in social, cultural, behaviorals, physiological, metabolic and genetic factors. In fact, Obesity is a problem in wich the nutrients unbalance is translated in a higher storage of fat.
